Antwerp Provincial Government Building

This emblematic building in Antwerp was designed by XDGA to house the administrative services of the province of Antwerp.

GAMACO acted as advisor to the main engineering firm (Bollinger+Grohmann) during the design phase, and later as the engineering firm responsible for building the floors.

Each of the building's slabs is different and features large spans in both directions, without intermediate columns. They were designed and built in post-tensioned concrete.

One of the technical features worthy of note was that the floors contained a lot of piping for the building services, as well as an integrated heating system (BKA).
